Gotta Start Somewhere

Hey Guys!

Today is my birthday and it was also a day of reflection. Thinking back to how I started, all that I've accomplished thus far and my goals for the future. I came across some of my work from the past today and I realized how hard I was on myself to create perfection and in reality there's no such thing. For everything that I have ever created I can think of something I could've done differently because with growth there comes a change of perception, a change in aesthetic and a change in design style. The fashion industry is also forever changing.

The Aladdin Factor

Good Morning!!!

I know it's been a while (two weeks to be exact), but I've been crazy busy with quite a few projects. From styling gigs to custom dresses...December is a very busy month for me. No complaints...Busy is good! :) 

I recently launched a campaign to help fund my new Ace Blakley showroom before the new year. So far so good. I read a book earlier this year called the Aladdin Factor by Jack Canfield. It talks about asking for what you want so you can receive it and truly believing that you deserve it. I put my pride to the side and asked for assistance with something that I really need and my friends and family have contributed generously over this holiday season. I am extremely grateful for the support I have gotten thus far.

Newest Addition To Asos Marketplace

I am honored and proud to say that we have our own boutique on Asos Marketplace!!! How awesome is that? You can find us at our custom url asos.mp/aceblakley . We will soon offer sample dresses on Asos that will not be put into production, maybe one or two of its kind. This will offer exclusivity and a real chance to have a piece that may not be custom, but uniquely its own. It's a great feeling when you wear pieces that you know not many people have access to. I truly feel that way with Ace Blakley. We produce short runs and once that item is sold out it is no longer available for purchase later.

Our Asos boutique will be updated once or twice per week. Exact days will vary until we get the hang of our new platform. Browse around...let me know what you think.

Keeping Warm While Staying Stylish

I know sometimes it's hard to find a balance in the fall/winter months between keeping warm and looking fashionable. No one wants to freeze in the name of fashion, but you also don't want to sacrifice your sense of style to stay warm...this is just the reality of it. Big coats and chunky overstuffed boots are not where it's at...at least not this season. I did a shoot recently wearing an Ace Blakley turtleneck dress with a super warm doubled wool jacket.
